Population research tracks broad categories like "impact play," and terms like "being whipped" that sound implement-specific to this community but were never actually confirmed as a real whip. This study asks what people reach for and how often, so the data finally matches how specific this community actually is.
Impact play means anything used to strike the body for sensation, whether that's punishment, sensation play, or anything in between: a bare hand, a belt already in the wardrobe, a purpose-built cane, a flogger. If you've done it, giving or receiving, this survey wants to know exactly what was in your hand, not just that "impact play" happened.
Most of this form only appears once you answer the first question. It's not broken, and it's not this short, it's just built to only ask you what actually applies.
