Dragon Tail Flogger
A dragon tail is a single-tailed implement with a braided or plaited body that tapers to a flat leather tongue at the tip. Despite often being sold alongside floggers, it is technically a single-tail rather than a multi-tail implement. The flat tongue produces a sharp, slicing impact with a distinctive crack on the skin. The sensation is significantly more intense than a multi-tail flogger of equivalent swing and requires precise technique to place accurately.

The dragon tail is used for precision impact and for producing a sharp, concentrated sting. WHAT TO LOOK FOR
The quality of the braid determines how the implement handles and how long it lasts. A tight, even braid transfers energy efficiently to the tip. A loose or uneven braid produces inconsistent results and degrades faster. The tongue should be firmly attached to the body of the implement with no separation at the join. Handle stiffness affects swing control: a stiffer handle gives more precision; a flexible one requires more technique.

HOW TO LOOK AFTER IT
Wipe the body and tongue with a damp cloth after use and allow to air dry completely. Condition the leather periodically with leather conditioner. Pay particular attention to the tongue, which takes the most impact stress and will show wear first. Inspect the join between tongue and body before each use. Store hanging or coiled loosely, not tightly wound, to avoid the braid taking a permanent set.
